GETTING HERE

The museum is situated in Wiltshire located just of the A4 in Calne and within easy reach of the many ancient attractions in the county, including Avebury, Silbury Hill and Stonehenge. It is also within easy reach of Bristol, Bath and Swindon.

Directions

  • Coming from the West (Chippenham), enter and drive through the centre of Calne towards Marlborough, past the turn off to Melksham (A3102 – double mini roundabout). Carry on past the school (on your left) and as the A4 starts to bear to the left, take the right hand turning towards Heddington, you should now be in Stockley Lane. Carry on straight over the mini roundabout  and in approximately 2 – 300 yds you will find the Museum on your left, (just past the entrance to the Fairway which is on your right hand side).
  • Coming from the East (Marlborough), drive past the Devizes road (on your left – sign to Golf course), along a straight section of the A4 through Quemerford, and as the A4 bears round to the right, turn off to the left turning towards Heddington, you should now be in Stockley Lane. Carry on straight over the mini roundabout and in approximately 2 – 300 yds you will find the Museum on your left, (just past the entrance to the Fairway which is on your right hand side).
  • Coming from the South (Melksham), enter Calne on the A3102, turning right onto the A4 towards Marlborough. Carry on past the school (on your left) and as the A4 starts to bear to the left, take the right hand turning towards Heddington, you should now be in Stockley Lane. Carry on straight over the mini roundabout and in approximately 2 – 300 yds you will find the Museum on your left, (just past the entrance to the Fairway which is on your right hand side).
  • Coming from the North (Lyneham), on the A3102, turn left onto the A4 in the direction of Marlborough, past the turn off to Melksham (A3102 – double mini roundabout). Carry on past the school (on your left) and as the A4 starts to bear to the left, take the right hand turning towards Heddington, you should now be in Stockley Lane. Carry on straight over the mini roundabout and in approximately 2 – 300 yds you will find the Museum on your left, (just past the entrance to the Fairway which is on your right hand side).
